Dude, I like your thinking. :-)

I have done a few overnight trips of 14 hours of driving by myself and one with my wife and kids, yes, kids, in my Westy. Sipping on Red Bull helps, but then you crash anyway.

It is not safe, but can be done IF you can sleep soundly while your wife is driving. I can not sleep like that at all, so I usually pull over and crash hard for a couple of hours. The long recovery time given with advancing age after such endevours make it not really worth it any more.

And don't listen to those mamby-pambies trepidating over driving a 20 year old vehicle for 24 hours straight. Steady-state driving on the highway is less stressful than slogging it through town. You bus either is in a good shape or is not. My 84 Westy is certainly up to the task, and it is a ripe 25. 2009/11/12, Richard Golen <rgolen@hotmail.com>: > Good Evening! > > > My wife, son and I are going to take our Westy on a road trip next week from > our house (south of Boston) to Sarasota, FL.
