Been all over Baja. Great adventures. Syncro not really needed, but it will enable you to find better camping spots on beaches if there are many other Gringos camping there. Drove the Baja 1 route before it was paved in a 66 Ford pickup 2wd. Met up with AJ Foyt and his partner pre-running the Baja 1000 many many years ago.. Been to a lot of fine places over the years and have some great friends from there. La Paz has to be my favorite city anywhere..There is a "cannonball run" outlaw motorcycle race that sometimes goes the length of the whole penninsula...Starts in TJ and ends at the Giggling Marlin in Cabo...anything goes, open roads no real rules..I think something like 10hrs is the record... Baja is like the Wild West... Don Hanson
