Neil,

I never put brake fluid in the pressure tank, just fill the brake reservoir to the top and pump up the bleeder to about 15 lbs. I used this method when I replaced all my brake lines and just topped up the res once after the rears were bled. No muss, no fuss ;-)

FWIW I use a Motive bleeder.
