Hi If replacing the clutch and pressure plate replace the Throw out Bearing (Release Bearing) Check the cross shaft release bearing saddles for wear. they do where out. also replace the trans input shaft seal and If you up to it have the flywheel resurfaced and replace the rear main seal on the back of the engine. As for where to get it and cost. 1st and formost check quality of parts sold. So of the stuff you can get for your vw is just plain crap. Sachs, Kennedy and some others are about the best. as well as daiken and some others. But just know there is some junk from other countries you really do not want to use. Most of this is fairly cheap for not breaking down what is it worth to you. Most prices are about the same. C-ya Jonce
