The computer should know it because for the past couple of years, all dealers use ETKA 7.2 which covers the whole world, not just US or Canadian Models. Earlier versions did not, so US Dealers didn't the European Listings on their 'puters. The trick is to persuade your parts counterperson or parts manager to open up the "Local Market" tab in ETKA to look up your vehicle and unfortunately, most would rather not be bothered with this. My local dealer (Barber VW, Ventura) does it all the time for me (in fact we compare notes between my bootleg ETKA and his more up-to-date version). Like Ben said contact someone like Rennie Wible (he mostly hangs on the Syncro Yahoo List) or call him at Santa Monica VW. I've personally known Rennie for over 25 years and he's one of the great guys at the dealer. -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On Tue, Nov 17, 2009 at 10:50 AM, Charles Nighbor <cnighbor1@comcast.net>wrote:
