The lever on the side of the transmission moves less than an inch (not
much). It sounds more like the operating shaft for the throw out
bearing has broken to me (BTDT). If you have never changed your
hydraulics and want to try that out I would change both the clutch slave
and master cylinder at the same time. If one goes the other is going to
fail soon after (my experience and many customers calling me back a
month later telling me I was right and they should have listened to my
advice). We have both in stock ready to go if you need them quickly. I
can also supply you with a new operating shaft if you find you need that.
