Subject: Hope for NLA headlight adjusters
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

Dear Volks, On my recent travels I lost a headlight; in the process of replacing the bulb(s) I took a fast look at the adjusters.

The major reason for the trip was to bring home the second half of my little machine shop which I expect to start setting up immediately; and looking at those adjusters I see no reason why I couldn't come up with something to replace them. I expect to be actively working on that. I'm sure they won't be cheap (no molded parts, probably mostly brass), and doubtless someone with better facilities will come along with something that costs less; but in the mean time I expect them to be available for sale within a couple months. I'll be talking with at least Ken Wilford about putting them in his line.

If someone cares to lend me a set of 2.1l headlight support plates with buckets and don't-need-to-be-working adjusters all around that will greatly facilitate the process.

All this assumes that my understanding of my abilities isn't too overblown. <g> I'll keep y'all posted.

Yours, David
