Most people on the type2 list know the story. I had a '76 named Peregrine. I went to great pains to rebuild the engine, and I had about $12,000 into the bus when my ex decided to pursue her dreams in Maine. I was working on Peregrine's nose and had a lot of work to do. (We were in San Diego.)

I decided to cut a corner. So I gave my bus away. Just gave it away. Like that. (I hate selling things.) We moved to Maine and she wigged out. (The story is too gruesome to go into.)

So: no bus, no wife. I'm back in San Diego. I don't want another baywindow. I've always wanted a Vanagon.

Mark
