I have a gel house battery mounted on its side. I have only had it perhaps six months and have not noticed any issues. It was a bugger to get in the box wired up (had to angle grind out a bit of the seat flange!). Very happy with the set up ever since though (knock on wood) Devin 1987 Westfalia "Milou" Vancouver, B.C.
