Dealing with craigs list is kind of simple, just use common sense.

If you can't see it and drive it and all that stuff BEFORE you
exchange any cash don't do it.

I've sold and bought lot's of things off craigslist and never used a
phone number until we had established some sort of exchange but I
would NOT sell a van thru a third party and would NOT do anything
with something I could not touch before hand.

Scammers are out there but most sellers/buyers are honest.
$2500 for that van? It's possible but a quick e-mail exchange will
give you a phone number and a chance to drive it or you'll find you
have a scammer and can flag the ad.
