I also broke one a few weeks ago, when I was talking to someone, and I leaned against my van. Something cracked and the headlight just pushed in............oops! Not good! These things are an accident waiting to happen. I was able to temporarily repair it using safety wire wrapped around the back of the nylon part to keep it together and snapped in to the metal part. It passed inspection and now every year it's getting tougher, due to one thing or another. I'm gonna keep this thing forever (or get a nicer one!), if possible. I'll be anxiously awaiting anything that is made by anyone. Mine (like a lot of others) are broken. I just broke the Driver's side adjuster last night - I knew I shouldn't have touched it.
