Subject: Re: Thoughts on Travelling w/ 4 year old Bill, When my kids were little we traveled quite a bit in the Westy and long stints were always a challenge. Especially difficult is the decision to let them sleep on the bed without seatbelts to protect them so you can cover some ground. The best thing we did is, well a few: 1 cupholders in the rear 2 installed middle bench seat so someone is closer to the driver and can hand things forward or rearward 3 install shoulder belts for the rear seat--peace of mind 4 get kids books on tape/cd The last one really made a difference. When we find the right book, the kids no longer want to stop. And when we have to, bathroom, gas, etc... the kids are in a hurry to get going again. We usually bring a few stories in case one isn't a hit. Good luck! Sam in Santa Fe |
