They certainly don't bother me and I am a 63 yr old grandmother. I'm more offended by euphemisms like "Gosh Darn it!" which seems to me like a sappy and overly cute way of saying the same thing. All of us will hear much worse than this walking on the street or in any mall. They're all expletives. It's just a cultural conditioning which one offends any particular individual. I speak French and can tell you that I still react with a bemused smile when I hear some kid saying "Tabernac! (Tabernacle!)" or "Maudit Christ! (Dirty Jesus!)" C'mon guys, Pat

Hey Folks, Don't you all think this is just a little too close to the real thing? I have received complaints before about the use of such disguised profanities before have not taken a position on this yet. It would be great to hear from the listmembers about how you feel about this. Please pmail opinions to me or David. >>>
Thanks, BenT |
