i certainly agree that we should all follow whatever the list rules are. but i don't buy the "children" argument. if i understand it correctly it states that i should modify my behavior because someone's child may read what i have written which their parents wouldn't like them to see. isn't that sorta like saying i shouldn't talk about drinking a cool refreshing adult beverage because some parent wouldn't like their child to read about such things? isn't that asking me to modify my behavior because some parent somewhere does not want to go to the trouble of censoring what their kids read? how is the moderator to know what words or subjects every parent wants to keep away from their kids? it seems to me that the "children rule" puts a lot of pressure of the moderators

don't misunderstand me, i'm not suggesting that we shouldn't follow whatever rules exist on the list. i just don't buy that we should do so because of the "children".
