Hi Pat,

Here are my thoughts on your questions:

Some (many?) of the Collector's policies prohibit camping in your vehicle, and only allow use to drive to and from group events. They can be VERY restrictive, be sure to read the fine print..

I am going to assume that BCAA = CAA. If not then disregard the following.

RV coverage on CAA entitles you to longer tows and also to have a trailer towed. This past summer my brother discovered that "normal" CAA coverage does not include towing trailers, you have to upgrade to RV coverage. One of my bus friends had their vanagon westy breakdown in a US federal park and thanks to CAA RV coverage they were able to get a $1200 tow covered with no problems. If you tow a trailer OR expect to travel more than 100 KMs from a vanagon-capable repair shop then the upgrade to RV coverage is probably a good investment.

Happy Trails,

Greg
