After the previous posts I just had to go see the place, so took a rainy afternoon off and drove up and prepared myself to be astounded. Sign on the door says it all: "No one allowed in the field due to insurance regulations." The guy at the counter told me they have one passenger van available for parts and what did I want. No chance to look at it, wander about and muse on the scavenged-part possibilities. You could tell by looking at the field what the deal was; thin rows of empty shells in a grassy field with no signs of recent visits by curious humans there to pick parts. Fun at one time, maybe, but not today. Strictly bidness. Stephen |
