Aha ... that DOES make a big difference. My bet is that you washed away something that was sitting in the way of hiding what has turned out to be an electrical scavenging problem, read short somewhere. I'd suggest checking very closely, all your wrapped wires especially any place that you did some "power" washing either to apply water, or rinse. I did that to a Pathfinder years ago. It locked the doors, engine running, hood up, in the car wash. I had to walk to a parts store, then call a lock smith to break into my car. I had created an electrical connection with water in the engine compartment that locked the doors.
