If you can find good rubber seals in the JY, definitely get them. They will be much cheaper than anywhere else. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Stephen Grisanti Sent: Saturday, December 05, 2009 7:50 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: door edge seals I noticed on a junkyard '89 the other day that it has rubber seals filling the gap at the leading edge of the front doors, seals my '87 does not have. It also has nice formed rubber tubes to route the wires (for power mirrors, speakers, etc.) as they pass from the body into the doors. Would it be worth getting these for my van? Looks like the doors have to come off for seal removal/installation, which looks like a lot of work. I know the tubes or something like them would be worth it as my own van has severed wires from being cut by repeated door action. Stephen |
