The 378' Coast Guard cutters (the big white ones) have their 2 main "diesel" engines running JP5 fuel thru Fairbanks Morse 12 cyl with 2 pistons/cyl vertically opposed. Similar setup..2 injectors per cyl at about 3000HP/ engine... The cool ones are the pair of Pratt Whitney jet engines (707 vintage) though...kick into high gear and go over 40 knots but burn 1000 gal/hr of the jp5 juice...loved it down there when things were crankin' Daryl of AA Transaxle 425-788-4070 "On the cutting edge of old technology"
