Hi Don, 
I know a lot about the gas heater in your Westy. First of all, have you tried to run it? Before doing so, do you see the fuel lines to the pump are dry externally? I can help you troubleshoot it and I sell parts. I am again doing service and parts sales for Eberspacher heaters.

I have an 82 AC Westfalia that is in generally uncared for 
condition. As I go through it I never know what I will find. There have 
been some pleasant suprises but generally everything needs work.
Where do I start to get heat and winshield defrost capability? I have 
breifly searched the archives but I decided to just ask to be pointed to 
the right archive etc. Do I have to fix the whole Heater Booster system? 
I notice Bentley has a good section on checking the components but I 
haven't done anything yet. I would like a place to start.
