Joy and all others buzzing vanners, This may be a simple problem to solve. The buzzer is triggered from the HIGH oil pressure sendor located below the water pump by the crankshaft pulley. You can hardly see it or get your paws on it.  What I have found out is that the wire that is connected on that sendor has many opportunities to ground out if it rubs against the pulley.  If that wire grounds out it will cause the buzzer to go off. So first thing to do is to chase that wire working back from the sendor all the way back to the connection block on the firewall by the coil.   There will be a second wire in the connection block which comes from the LOW pressure sendor between the pushrod tubes.   OK check the wire,  hold on to it and check for cracks and worn insulation where it may touch the engine metal. The push tab into the sendor may be faulty or broken as well.  Replace as required, but this is the first source of the problem to look at.   The engine should be off while you try to get the wire out ;-) After you are positive that you have a good wire and a good connection,  then you get into the sendor being weak/bad,  the printed circuit on the dash having issues etc. that the rest of the conversations will dive into.  Good luck. This just started today, and actually I drove her directly to my friend's mechanic (who has succeeded in fixing other troubles in the past - no real vanagon mechanics less than 100-or-so miles from here).  We figured it's something about the oil pressure switch or associated wires - he's going to do some searching and get back to me. But I'm wondering if others have had this happen, and if you've got suggestions. Joy
