I used my hard top Syncro as a daily driver during much of last summer and fall.  While it ran fine, it was a real pain for city driving.  It was just too big for narrow lanes and tight parking lots.  There is also a lot of topography where I live and I got real sick of stopping on steep inclines.  Of course, the stopping wasn't the problem, it was not rolling backwards 4 inches and hitting the guy behind me while getting going again.  I also found that I couldn't keep pace with the other drivers on steep grades.  This resulted in ridiculous road rage from both myself and other drivers. My current daily driver is a 1988 Merkur XR4Ti.  It is only 1 year newer than my Syncro, but much better suited to city driving.  I love dropping the pedal and letting the turbo boost me up those same hills that bogged down the Syncro!  Now the traffic has a hard time keeping up with me!!! jake 82 AC Westy 87 Syncro 88 Merkur XR4Ti
