If you found my van with a locked door (I do lock it, but seldom) you would have to be very brave or unintelligent to open up any of the doors. Maybe if you had a nice big fetching stick in hand or perhaps a 2lb T-bone steak you might escape with all your extremities undamaged, but if I were a stranger approaching my van, I wouldn't want to test that theory. I have some nice red and brass prominent little warning signs, one on each 'face' of the van warning everyone of my 90lb male Chesepeake retreiver, who is very protective of what he considers HIS van. He does not like anyone near. When I take him along I have to try to find out of the way parking spots so that others aren't scared when they park nearby or walk past closely. Out in the county, I don't have any security worries..When traveling in Mexico even the soldiers almost always wave us right through all the 'Inspeciones para drogas y armas' check points after one look at Big Jake...
