So cold in Taos that the propane heater could not keep up and would have drained the batteries, so I turned it off and slept in three sleeping bags. My water bottle froze, so it found a cozy spot next to me. It was minus a couple of digits, which means it was colder than usual, for me to be out. Still, that cotton Sears bag, along with the two down, zero bags, was plenty. Miguel
