There's a MKII New Beetle on the way:

Back to the topic, I almost traded in our Passat 4M Wagon for an '03 Eurovan MV a few years back and drove the Eurovan around for an afternoon to get a feel for it. I absolutely loved the way it drove. A lot of people think that they're far removed from Vanagons (with the engine in the wrong end and all) but I found the driving position and the overall feel to be similar yet more refined. I scared myself away from the Eurovan based on repair costs and the transmission, though.

We bought a 4WD V6 Toyota Highlander to replace the Passat. It's simple (albeit bland,) indestructible, and very easy to work on. In other words, it's everything a Volkswagen should be. What the hell is wrong with VW?
