been done many times, you can read about it online until your eyeballs fall out.

generally, all syncro vanagon drivetrains are the same, unless you are getting into non-US model things like locking front diff or 16 inch wheels and suspension. but 86 to 91 for north amercian syncro vanagons with 14 inch wheels - all same-same I believe. Scott www.turbovans.,com
