The only thing that can leak where the cooler meets the case is oil. I have
seen the coolers spring leaks at the seam and I have even seen them get pin
holes. Most likely leak on top of the cooler is really coming from a hose or
something above it.

I am curious how often folks have seen an Oil Cooler leak Coolant ?  I
have seen the seals go and cause an oil leak but my mechanic swears that
the coolers never leak coolant !   As far as I can see, after careful
cleaning, inspection and use of some rags to catch drips that mine is
dripping somewhere around where it seats against the case. I realize it
is difficult to pinpoint dripping coolant b/c if it is coming from above
( say the water pump) it might want to run down and off the edge of the
cooler, but in this case I am 95% sure it's coming from the cooler.

Anyone seen this before ??
