Did you read the fine print? I can put whatever value I want to on art objects or jewelry for insurance purposes, but what I will collect in the event of a loss is appraised value. Without appraised value, or recent sales receipt, I will be SOL. Don't count on the value you placed on the van being the amount you will collect if it's lost. At least it runs that way here.
