I just noticed this on GoWesty's site: http://www.gowesty.com/library_article.php?id=1247 (To briefly summarize, they offer to help you (at no charge) get a better settlement, asking (but not requiring) that you let them do the work that needs to be done on the vehicle. I am guessing this would apply to "technically, totaled, but realistically, fixable" vehicles, but read it yourself and form your own conclusions.
