If it's just a matter of the switch lever not interacting with the plastic cam, the lever can sometimes be re-bent to make it work properly If it's an internal problem, I have opened a few of them and got them to work again. You need patience, a good bright work surface and a small utility knife to cut it open. Once open it will be apparent what is wrong and what can be done to fix it. The cover can then be glued back on. Use dielectric grease to lube the moving parts.
