So, looks like all intermediates who have had ownership at various times are winners, while the most recent purchaser is a loser in this. I commend Allstate for supporting what seems like a deserving charity, but what about that guy? I can see that he would want to pursue the one who sold it to him (who was also likely clueless). And again, since the VIN was evidently left intact, why oh why was it not discovered before now?
