My opinion was not expressed. I don't know any of the particulars of the
purchaser so I don't have much to base an opinion on. I don't know if
the purchaser was actually screwed out of anything, do you? He may have
some recourse that covers him, I don't know. If he is an honest buyer
and looses out I feel bad for him. Sadly I know a numerous people who
bought cars at a distance and lost out. I guess we need another bailout
for people who loose out? Or just for people who loose out on a VW van deal?

Why not contact the charity with your proposal? Do you know if it would
even be legal for them to do what you suggest? It may not be.
