Hoses that break on 2.1L: http://www.benplace.com/cooling_system_hoses.htm

-Z2, if you play around there, replace. -T, at head junction. -N, worse one -L, second worse one, bypass hose, always very hot, always break near -T-housing, go touch yours, feel it. -The plastic coolant distributor between M and N and L, those are falling appart. -Sometime W and X

On 1.9L: http://www.benplace.com/vanagon_digijet_engine_component.htm Mmmm... not much, the 1,9 as way less hoses.

If i have to give some, well: -N going to heater line. -H shape plastic part at EX tank, but I (I) have seen that only once. -Same Z3

If you are in the rust belt like I am, many metal coolant tube can be badly corroded, like the long bypass one in between water pump and right head, same for the 2 small one

1.9L 1 2.1L 0

Ben
