Recently had a few times when my fuel pump wouldn't energize upon turning the ignition key to "on", and taking the time to clean and tighten all electrical connections failed to really fix the problem, as I found out on Monday.

Tickling the leftmost relay socket in the two-relay compartment in the engine bay with a wire staple activated the pump and reinstalling the relay got me going after spending some frustrating precious time stuck at the gas station. For some reason my "breakdowns" always occur when my van is full of building tools and materials.

Went online that evening and ordered (2) fuel pump relays (might as well change both in there) and a hatch strut from VanCafe and they arrived Friday as predicted, installed Saturday.

I used VanCafe because they're on the west coast, but have also used VanAgain and others at different times, so this is more of a general thanks to the guys and gals that specialize in our rigs than an endorsement of a particular company.

Happy Holidays!
