Paul, as long as you have a small hose circuit through the trans oil cooler, and one for the heater circuit/s......... and main flow, you should be fine, and I like the idea of that last coolant tower with the two small connections.

I ran into the same thing - I had an two auto trans vanagons, an ) 86 and a 90, apart for a long time, and a bunch of hoses from both, and maybe even robbed a coolant tower from one, etc. The way I ended up ............ do you have a large size main coolant hose , one that passes over the trans I believe, with a 'T' junction going to a small hose on it ?? That's what I used - that funny big 'goes-over-the-trans' main hose with T off of it, that I ran to the trans cooler, and that worked fine.

in other words, 'it doesn't matter too much how you accomplish it' as long as you have two heater hose size circuits, trans cooler and heaters, and main circuit larger hoses going to the right places. which side of the coolant tower the hose from the head goes into doesn't matter, prett' sure.
