Subject: Tranny noise: 1st and 2nd. (Short AUDIO Clip)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi all.

I wrote a while back about a "clucking" noise in my transmission. At that time, I heard it in 1st and 2nd, but while recording noise today, barely heard it in 2nd.

Audio clip is my '81 Westy coasting - under power - coasting in 1st, then briefly under power in 2nd. All downhill. On level road I go from coasting to under power in 1st. Sound goes away under power.

Any opinions on what sound may be? As advised, I swapped the oil out to Redline MT. This *may* account for sound not being as apparent in 2nd gear. Transmission operates fine otherwise.

Pic of metal found on plug at time of oil change:

Thanks

Neil.
