I'm curious to findd out what is causing this . Is your engine boiling over? The mechanic said the coolant isn'nt flowing. one of the coolant pipes is clogged with something. I have been having a similar problem with my 84. it has new head gaskets. I just installed a new thermostat. Still overheating.

the radiator heated up , then it stopped. I'm going to disconnect the hoses from the two main pipes today and flush water thru them. if it sat a long time, like mine has, it's possible that the pipe has rusted closed inside. Or the inside of the pipe is narrower due to rust deposits etc.

The other thing I'm thinking it might be is the radiator. After all these years sitting, they clog up.

That's what i think my problem is. If you light flashes before the engine is warm, then it could be the printed circuit has a component failure, or plug corrosion. if you changed the sender, check that the wires are good.

i have several vehicles and i have found that time is not on their side of they sit unused for years.
