I'm glad they're OK too, and hope the cat returns in good condition.

and.....it's much more than just the 5 speed trans. That's a special van. it's a Euro model TD Westy, and has some excellent features and equipment. Besides the trans, the entire linkage must be saved. there's a diesel aux heater on board, it's a great TD engine, the front of the roof area - where there is normally a Westy 'roof rack' , there's a special aero piece. I shot pics of that piece when they visited my shop once, and think it would be great to reproduce that fiberglass piece for other westy's.

all it really needs in another body, then put the good stuff from their old van into a good westy body. I just happen to be getting a nice 85 Westy in today. Lot of work to build one great one out of a crashed van and another one of course, , but all is not lost. There's a ton of good stuff on the crashed van that can easily be used to make one at least as good as Roger and Jena's now-previous van was.
