A friend in Seattle "totaled" his 90 Carat when he was rear-ended. Initially insurance company offered him $2400 to settle. After many weeks of back and forth and a 16 page report from a knowledgeable appraiser the van was then valued at $7400 (closer to true replacement value)....at this point the insurance company paid to have the van fixed. One thing my friend kept saying to insurance company is "I just want the van I had 5 minutes before the accident", nothing more, nothing less. Be firm. This is the appraiser he used; near Portland, OR. They new about GoWesty, Samba, etc and did a great job. |
