If my memory serves me this hose is 22mm (7/8") at the head. A number of VW's used this size connection but it will be a challenge at a FLAPS. You may have to be creative here.

Hi all - hoping everyone is having a great holiday. I have a coolant leak issue today that I hope I have solved, but in case i didn't, I will need to find at a FLAPS, a hose to fit the heater feed outlet at the head of my 82 naturally aspirated 1.6. Ideally, this hose would fit the outlet at the head, then change to standard 5/8" heater hose, and be about two feet long so it will reach the splice over the tranny, where I installed new heater hose but left the old feed line at the head.

Anyone know a good part for this, or know what the hose size should be at that end? Search of the archives revealed similar questions, but no answers.

MCAHNY!
