Actually I don't think it does - if I have researched correctly, a leaky head gasket would fill the expansion (i.e. pressurized) tank with gases and force coolant into the overflow (i.e. non-pressurized) tank. I am not seeing this - the expansion (pressurized) tank has absolutely no air or bubbles in it after a drive, ever. The fact that the system appears to suck air into the expansion tank indicates a leak somewhere around the tank, or maybe I'm not tightening the pressure cap enough.
