Don't really matter how much HP you have. It's how you use it. The Transaxle doesn't know about HP only the sideforces from the torque transmitted from source (motor) to load (inertia of the van). The more you peg the torkometer with that throttle, the more sideforces must be borne by the trannybits. Drive easy, drive long, then send it to Daryl.
