Subject: Re: Conversion? JETTA ENGINE??

Peter Broemmelsiek, the owner of Tii Trading, Inc and the importer of the similarly-named Vanagon engine conversion kit, had a 1972 BMW 2002tii that he really liked, in fact, so much that he named his import company after it. The 2002tii was just an regular 2002 with larger front brakes, a rear sway bar, wider rims, a tachometer instead of a clock, and, most importantly, Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection. The '72 tii was advertised as having 147 hp while the standard 2002 had 125 hp. The letters "tii" stand, loosely translated, for Touring International Injection.
