As Mike Miller said, I have to recollection of any ranger ever saying anything about anything. There was that busy body at the bonfire nearby who complained about the intensity of the white flame caused by the burning magnesium. Who would have guessed there were broken pieces of flammable metal under our bonfire? I certainly wasn't aware how THAT happened to get there. That was the same night the strange woman asked if she could cook some meet from her pal Hannibal Lechter or some such.
