Jim, if you are going to go through that trouble then yes I would have the rebuilt kit ready. However I have found that it is usually more time and cost effective to buy a complete new caliper that has all new seals installed. These parts are relatively cheap and if you don't have the proper hones to do calipers you might wind up with a leak after trying to rebuild it yourself anyway. I charge $75 per hour for labor. It usually doesn't make sense for me to spend the time it would take to take apart a caliper, clean it, hone it, reseal it, when the new part is less than my time plus materials of rebuilding the old one.
