So there was this guy on the vintagebus list looking for "Stories of Life and Adventure with the VW Bus." That got me searching my archives of VW bus stories. And among my favorite VW bus story authors is Dick O'Kane who used to write for Road & Track before it was taken over by publishing conglomerates. Stories like these: <http://gerry.vanagon.com/files/articles/bus-stories-from-road- track.txt>

This, of course, led to again trying to learn a bit more about Mr. O'Kane. A thorough Google gets about nothing on Dick O'Kane the automotive author. And everyone who would have had direct knowledge has now passed on. So.... Does anyone here have ideas on how to trace Mr. O'Kane's heirs or the owners of his copyrights? His writings need to be preserved and it would be really neat to do it legally. (Ditto a handful of other R&T writers. Jack Smith, Henry Manney etc.)

PLEASE reply directly to me. jrasite@eoni.com so as not to twist Mr. Tan and Mr. Beierl's shorts in too tight of knot.

Thanks,

Jim
