I have a similar phenomenon, and have been told that many others do as well. Mine will drip a little when it gets really cold (below about 15 F). It will leak more on startup at low temperatures. I have to add coolant periodically, too. My trusted mechanic tells me that the head seals need redone, and I will have him do them. I do not have this problem in warm weather. I don't see any coolant leak after the engine warms up, but I suppose it could be evaporating then. Some have told me to ignore it until I have some other reason to remove the heads. I have always taken the approach that if something is not working properly, it should be fixed. I fear having a head really start to flow coolant out at a time and place that is quite inconvenient.
