Answering my own question for the benefit of others who might need to know: clutch line is fed with a nylon braid reinforced blue EPDM hose. This is important because most hose materials are incompatible with brake fluid, and EPDM brake hose is incompatible with gasoline, oil, and ATF.

I also found an interesting "O-ring compatibility" chart that lists several of the most commonly rubber-like materials and their suitability for use with various substances:
