Steve,

Both my original '85 and my '90 have power steering. It's nice - however the rack leaked on the '85 and the pump leaked on the '90. So I cut the belt and drove both without.

It isn't noticeable really unless like Bryan said you are trying to maneuver some tricky turning from a stand still or going very slow.

Otherwise I don't notice at all and have found living without PS is actually very acceptable.
