Subject: Brake Fluid vs Hose Material
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Does anyone offhand know what the black outside/blue inside hose that connects the brake fluid reservoir to the clutch master cylinder is made out of? I am remote mounting the brake fluid reservoir to make room for my Passat speedo cluster and I'll be darned if I can find any definitive word on the subject on the internet. Buna-N/Nitrile good? SIlicone bad? EPDM? FKM? PTFE? I've found comments going both ways for all sorts of materials, and the only consensus is that fuel line definitely won't work!
